From Gray and Gurley to Cleveland and Holloway neighbors trekked across the community this past Sunday to plant varieties of daffodils. The planting was part of Keep Durham Beautiful's annual "Bulb Blitz." Bulbs are donated by area nurseries and distributed to neighborhoods and other groups to plant in open, public spaces.
Plantings this year were concentrated around Oakwood Park, the Elliot St. Dog Park and near stop signs throughout the community. The goal of the project is to frame Durham neighborhoods in vibrant color so keep an eye out this spring for a daffodil near you!
